PS Vita Canabalt (PS Vita / PSP / PS3 Mini) Review

Unless you recently fell off a falling rooftop, you will at some point come across or heard of Canabalt.

Essentially a run and jump style game you control one man on his pursuit to escape over the falling rooftops.

Simple controls (one button)! means anyone can pick this up and give it a bash.  Some might consider the graphics to be rather crude, but then they are missing the point.  This isn’t meant to be a Mirrors Edge clone, this is meant to be a cheap, fun and addictive game that you can pick up and play on the bus, on a train or on plane.  PS Vita Canabalt is a fun pick up and play game.

We loved it and we’ll certainly be trying to get a decent score !

The game is available as a Mini on the PS Store for £1.79 or $1.99.  Go get it now !

UsednReviewed score : 8/10

PS Vita Motorstorm RC : Carnival Festival Review

I’ll be honest, I LOVE Motorstorm RC.  For me, it was one of the must have games on the PS Vita ever since it graced the Playstation Store.  The concept was simple – take the fun, energetic Motorstorm brand and transfer it to the Playstation’s newest portable device.  And how could you possibly achieve such a feat ?  Simply shrink the vehicles to miniature size!

So it has been a number of weeks since Motorstorm RC launched and how better to keep you entertained, than to release more content in the form of the Carnival Expansion Pack for the gobsmacking price of £2.39 or $2.99 in the US.  For your penny’s (or cents) you’ll get access to 24 new events over 6 new tracks all based around a Carnival / Funfair / Theme Park.
What ensues is a rollercoster ride (see what we did there?) of a game.  Jumps, pipes, water, sand(?) and even what can only be described as a Helter Skelter provide a creative playground with which to test your skills.  And test your skills this game will.

Whilst new gamers to the RC series might struggle with the steep learning curve of this expansion pack, seasoned racers should find themselves pushing up the leaderboards in no time.

It’s very difficult not to recommend an expansion pack with so much content for what is the price of many dynamic themes on the Playstation 3.  So stop reading and go out and grab this pack now.

PS Vita Treasures Of Montezuma FREE on PS Store

Treasures of Montezuma Blitz, or commonly known as TOM Blitz has now come to the PS Vita.

Used&Reviewed has a look at this common puzzler and decides if it really is free or is it all smoke and mirrors?

So what do  you guys think?  Will you be picking this up from the store or is it not worth the memory card space?

Angry Birds for PS Vita Review

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years, you will have at some point come across Angry Birds.  The rather simple yet also rather addictive game has exploded into an unstoppable brand.  Not only can we play Angry Birds on everything from mobile phones to tablets but we can also buy toys, speaker docks and at some point in the near future experience an Angry Bird Theme Park.

So with this in mind you would automatically assume that Angry Birds would be a title Sony would have already ported to the recent Playstation (PS) Vita portable?

Well they have already…well kind of!  Although we are yet to see a dedicated PS Vita Angry Birds game (although rumours suggest this will be coming), you can get a fix of those catapult flying birds on the Vita if you so wish.

Available as a PS Mini from the Playstation Store, UsednReviewed considers whether it’s worth buying, or whether that money (and memory card space) is better saved for another day….

So what do you guys think?  Is it worth getting or should we wait for Sony/Rovio to get their act together?
